First things first:

  1. Make sure you’re using Google Chrome as your browser
  2. Log in to your GoStudent WebApp. Here you will find a link to GoClass. Click here if you’re unsure of how to access your WebApp.
  3. Once you’ve activated a lesson, make sure to allow access to GoClass audio and video permissions. Click here if you’re unsure of how to join a lesson.

About GoClass

GoClass is an interactive live chat platform we’ve created especially for online 1:1 learning.

With GoClass, you and your tutor can:

  • Learn face-to-face via video call
  • Use the whiteboard to solve problems in real-time
  • Collaborate on tasks by sharing screens
  • Upload and download documents like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, etc.
  • Share YouTube videos

Visit our FAQ page here to learn more about this exciting learning tool!

Lesson duration

Lessons are 50 minutes in total. The time starts counting from when both you and your tutor join the classroom. Toward the end of the lesson, you’ll be notified to start wrapping things up.

After your lesson

At the end of your lesson you’re welcome to rate your learning experience with your tutor on your student profile.

Even if you leave the WebApp straight after a lesson without rating your tutor, you can simply rate them at a later stage when you log back into your WebApp.

Accessing shared learning documents

All the documents you and your tutor might have shared during a lesson are automatically saved and available at any time in your ‘Workspace’.
Here’s how to access your Workspace:

Visit "My tutoring lessons" on your WebApp dashboard.

  • Step 1: Click on ‘Workspaces’
  • Step 2: Click on ‘Go To Workspace’
  • Step 3: Documents you used in the past can be found under the ‘Created resources’ if you click the ‘Create/Open’ button on the right bottom corner.
  • Step 4: Click on ‘Open’ to see, edit, rename, download or delete them

Lesson expiration

Your lessons are normally added to your account on the date of your payment. This means that lessons are available and ready to be used (booked) from this date until the date of your next payment.

Example:
Payment date: 12th of the month
Lessons are available from the 12th of the calendar month until the 12th of the next month.

How to check your balance

  • Step 1: Log in to your WebApp profile
  • Step 2: The number of lessons that still need to be booked is always displayed on the left hand-side, right below our logo.

In case you have remaining lessons and no time to use them, we suggest you contact your tutor and ask him/her to book those lessons in the system for the upcoming days (even if it’s for the next month) before they expire. Even if you are not sure about your availability, you can always book them in and reschedule later if needed.

To check your payment date in the WebApp, click here and follow the steps.
