How can I join a GoStudent VR lesson with my computer?
Step 1: Check your lesson time and 4 digit lesson code on your WebApp profile
Step 2: Ensure that you have a mouse ready to join the session
Step 3: Go to this link, 5 minutes before your VR-lesson start (please use Google Chrome if possible)

What is a GoStudent VR language lesson?
A GoStudent VR language lesson is a learning experience hosted in virtual reality. It allows for four times faster progress compared to lessons in a traditional classroom. The GoStudent VR learning experience was developed in collaboration with Immerse.com. We're currently offering Spanish, and hope to soon include other languages.
What is virtual reality?
Virtual reality is a computer-generated simulation of a 3D image or environment that allows a user to interact in a seemingly real, physical way.
Is GoStudent VR safe for my child?
Yes, the Immerse platform adheres to strict security requirements, which you can access here.
The lessons take place in small groups exclusively with students and selected tutors from GoStudent. We have carefully screened and chosen the best GoStudent tutors, who are subject to our regular child protection policy.
There are already several tools in place to protect students in virtual reality. On the Quest platform, individuals can be reported and blocked. You can also report abusive behaviour or content within a game or app, or outside of the headset through the website. You can also use a parent-managed account to monitor your child's activity.
How can I get a VR headset with GoStudent VR?
A VR headset (Meta Quest 2) is included free in selected packages for GoStudent members. If you choose this option, we will deliver the equipment directly to your home, to keep. Alternatively, you can participate in GoStudent VR lessons on your laptop/desktop PC to get a very similar experience, or use your own Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest Pro headset.
How do I access the GoStudent VR learning platform?
Once you have signed up for a GoStudent VR lesson, you can access the platform on a laptop/desktop through your browser or with a VR headset. You will receive detailed instructions right after signing up.
Can I join a GoStudent VR lesson without a VR headset?
Yes, you can join a GoStudent VR lesson using your computer with the application link you'll be provided with.
Who developed and designed the GoStudent VR learning platform?
GoStudent VR lessons take place in the Immerse app. Lesson plans and exercises were jointly developed by foreign language experts from GoStudent and Immerse. For more information, you can visit https://www.immerse.com/.
How do I sign up for GoStudent VR lessons?
Existing GoStudent customers have multiple options to sign up for GoStudent VR lessons through their memberships on the GoStudent dashboard.
Who are the tutors that teach my child in their GoStudent VR lessons?
Our tutors are native speakers, offering authentic, high-quality language lessons. Our thorough selection process includes evaluating the qualifications, experiences, and teaching competencies of potential tutors. This is to ensure they meet our high standards and can support our mission of providing outstanding language lessons. Selected tutors recieve extensive training and education by GoStudent and Immerse experts based on a customised curriculum for all students aged 13 and above.
What is the cancellation policy for GoStudent VR lessons?

In addition, the regular child protection policy of GoStudent applies, ensuring that lessons take place in small groups with only members and carefully selected tutors from GoStudent. Child protection and data privacy remain top priorities in the ongoing innovation and development of the GoStudent VR platform.
How much do the GoStudent VR lessons cost?
For GoStudent members, one lesson unit costs between £16 - £20 per lesson.
Are there age restrictions for the GoStudent VR Classes?
The GoStudent VR language courses are aimed at students aged 13 and over.
What equipment do I need to participate in the GoStudent VR classes ?
With the Immerse app, GoStudent VR lessons can be done via computer (with Windows OS) or with a Meta VR headset.
Where do the VR lessons take place?
There are 2 ways to join a GoStudent VR session.
- The first way is to follow this link and join the lesson via your computer. (Please note that you can only join using a computer with a Windows operating system).
- The second option is to join a GoStudent VR lesson using a VR headset. In this case, you will need to follow the instructions to install the VR app on your headset. Before your GoStudent VR lesson, all you need to do is turn on your headset, open the Immerse app, enter "GoVR" as your Access Key and enter your 4-digit lesson code, which will be displayed on your lesson card in the WebApp.
Can I join the GoStudent VR lessons if I have never used VR before?
Yes of course! No prior knowledge of VR is required to join the GoStudent VR language course. Our courses are designed to help students of all levels improve their English language skills through VR technology. Our aim is to create a welcoming and accessible learning environment where all learners have the opportunity to learn and practice without pressure.
How does a GoStudent VR lesson schedule work and what topics are covered in the lessons? Is there a set syllabus?
Each lesson has a specific topic, VR environment and English level. Participants are free to sign up for the lesson in any order.
I bought a GoStudent VR Booster lesson package with a VR headset included and my headset broke. What do I have to do now?
The VR headset was sent to you as a gift. Unfortunately, we do not have a policy for providing new glasses in such cases.
I have not received my VR headset, what now?
The VR headset is only included in the booster package. After purchase, your headset should arrive within 5 working days. If it has not arrived, please contact +447576171399 / +35361657789 or vr.support@gostudent.org.

What happens if I miss a GoStudent VR lesson I have registered for?
It is possible to cancel any GoStudent VR lesson up to 48 hours in advance and your lesson credit will be refunded to your account. If you miss your lesson without canceling it 48 hours in advance, your credit will be deducted and it is not possible to get it back.
Can I change the lesson time?
You can change your registration up to 48 hours before the lesson. As all GoStudent VR units are group courses, we cannot postpone a lesson at your personal request.
Can I join another group if I cannot attend a certain date/time of my booked group lesson?
You can sign up for any lesson you want at any time, giving you full flexibility to join any group.
Where can I find the access code for my VR lessons?
Your 4-digit lesson code will be displayed on your lesson card in the WebApp 1 hour before the lesson. Please note that each lesson has a different lesson code.
Can I request a new tutor?
You can register for the desired lesson at any time and are not bound to a teacher. You have the possibility to choose any tutor you wish.
